SBSD students have the incredible opportunity to perform alongside the professional dancers of The Savannah Ballet Theatre. With three to four major productions each year, students gain experience performing at a truly artistic level.

Our School
Ms. Sue founded the Savannah Ballet Theater school of dance to educate dancers and foster an appreciation for the arts. Since 1988, our dedicated teachers have trained thousands of dancers in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance. Students travel from across southeast Georgia and South Carolina to join the vibrant community at SBSD. Each year, our students earn places at prestigious institutions such as the Garrison School for the Performing Arts and the Savannah Arts Academy as Dance Majors. Our dancers have also gained acceptance into renowned year-round programs like The Gelsey Kirkland Academy in NYC and the Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C. Several of our students have stood out among 3,000 other dancers in Georgia to attend the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. We cultivate champions, and your journey starts here!
